Lavender floral water (hydrosol) is the aromatic water that remains after the lavender flowers have been steam distilled to produce the lavender essential oil. It is a therapeutic water that retains many properties of the lavender essential oil but is much milder and can be applied directly to the skin. 
 
Lavender floral water (hydrosol) can be used for various purposes, such as a facial toner, to soothe minor burns, and as an all-purpose cleaner, linen spray, or room freshener.
